The Pacific Community (SPC) wishes to establish preferred supplier agreements (PSA) with experienced freelance interpreters with either French or English as their “A” language and the other language as an active “B”, who will be called upon to provide their services for specific assignments under an external contracting system.
Service providers may be based in New Caledonia or anywhere else that allows them to perform the assignments they may receive. They will be required to provide high-quality simultaneous, consecutive or liaison interpretation services between English and French from the booths at SPC Headquarters in Noumea and possibly elsewhere in New Caledonia and the region (using mobile equipment), or in remote or “hybrid” modes from home or through platforms such as Zoom, under the responsibility of the SPC Interpretation Team Leader.
They may be required to travel within/to New Caledonia or elsewhere in the region to perform their assignments.
Candidates should also note that SPC regularly uses a “bidule” system, both indoors and outdoors.
