This consultancy will involve a National Expert who will gather and provide key information on social
and environmental safeguards to inform the Social and Environmental Screening checklist, including
providing necessary justifications. The consultant will review relevant policies and measures, current
projects and programs, and facilitate consultations with national stakeholders in Honiara. His/her role
will also involve offering insights into the current state of forests and forestry, assessing associated
risks, and identifying potential adaptation and mitigation co-benefits.

Timeline:
The consultancy will span 20 days, with activities broken down as follows:
• 5 days for document review
• 3 days for national-level consultations
• 12 days for report writing and completion of the GCF Annex A form
The national expert will commence the consultancy in the week of February 10, 2025, and complete
it by March 31, 2025. This period will include 5 days for key document review, 3 days for consultations
with key stakeholders, and finalizing the GCF Annex 1 form.
