Pacific Islands Ocean Conference (PIOC) Organisation and Facilitation
SPC together with the Office of the Pacific Ocean Commissioner (OPOC) and Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) will convene the Pacific Islands Ocean Conference (PIOC) from 29 September to 3 November 2025 in Honiara, Solomon Islands. This regional conference, which brings together and builds on the strengths and outcomes of the first Pacific Islands Conference on Ocean Science and Management (PICOSOM, Sept 2023) the first Pacific Regional Ocean Policy and Governance Dialogue (August 2023) will bring together relevant country stakeholders and partners to discuss successes, challenges and gaps in advancing on ocean science and management priorities in the Pacific. It will be a key platform for pacific scientists and Ocean experts to showcase their work and take stock of recent international and regional Ocean events.
