Consultancy to Co-Facilitate the Sub-Regional Gathering on Strengthening Collaboration between Ministries of Education and Teacher Training Institutions for Advancing Teacher Standards
The Pacific Regional Standards for Teachers, endorsed by Pacific Heads of Education Systems in March 2023, have since progressed through a series of audits, regional workshops, and sub-regional gatherings involving Ministries of Education and Teacher Training Institutions across 15 countries. These initiatives have focused on developing, contextualizing, and implementing teacher competency standards aligned with the Pacific Regional Education Framework (PacREF), fostering collaboration to enhance teacher quality and student outcomes.
To sustain momentum, a Community of Practice has been established for ongoing virtual engagement, complemented by planned gatherings like the upcoming August 2025 sub-regional meeting to review progress, share experiences, and strengthen partnerships between education stakeholders in advancing teacher standards regionally.
