The procurement of anaesthetic machine for Pacific Islands Countries and Territories (PICTs) is to replace and upgrade their current equipment to ensure the safety and efficiency of anaesthesia delivery to the patients.
Description of equipment: Anaesthetic machine provides a mixture of gases/vaports to control a patient’s
level of consciousness and/or analgesia during operating procedures. It performs the following functions:
• Deliver anaesthetic gases
• Provides ventilation
• Monitors vital signs and respiratory parameters
