Towong Shire Council (TSC) is seeking Quotations from suitably qualified contractors for the provision of roadside weed control for 2024/25 season
Towong Shire Council has received funding from Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions to control roadside weeds that are either Weeds of National Significance, State Prohibited Weeds or Regionally Prohibited Weeds. Weeds such as Blackberry are an important issue in Towong Shire that degrade farmland and public spaces. Blackberry and other high priority weeds need annual control work to prevent infestations and spread. The scope of works is to undertake roadside herbicide spraying of listed weeds; to provide advice and control of emergent weeds, and; to ensure protection of native vegetation of high conservation value.
