Towong Shire (Council) has received funding to upgrade the Stock Route alignment in Corryong to divert Heavy Vehicles (e.g. prime movers, cattle trucks) around Corryong’s main street.
Council is seeking suitably qualified contractors to tender for the provision of services to conduct a detailed design of the whole Stock Route alignment, from the intersection of Briggs Gap Road, the intersection of Donaldson and School Lane, Stock Route and Thomas Lane, and Thomas Lane and the Murray Valley Highway. Works including improving the weighbridge at the current sale yards at the Donaldson Street / Stock Route Intersection.
The scope of works is to include a detailed design alignment as per the attached plan. Including (but not limited to); pavement design, longitudinal / cross sections, typical sections, drainage design and recommendations etc. to build the road to improve the existing alignment, ensuring the proposed alignment is suitable for future trucks (e.g. 26 m B-Double).
