Mount Elliot, located approximately 14km east of Corryong, is currently home to a very active hang gliding and paragliding community. An iconic landmark in the Upper Murray, Mount Elliot has a steep vertical drop of 600 meters which renders it also suitable to gravity mountain biking. The natural bush setting adjacent the upper arm of the Murray River, provides appeal for other adventure activities including bushwalking and rock climbing.
Towong Shire Council seeks to appoint an appropriately qualified consultant/s to develop a Mount Elliot Masterplan with the vision of improving the economic and social yield of the natural asset.
