Background:
This project relates to the design and construction of a new Boyd St sewage pump station in Chinchilla.
It is expected that the successful contractor will design and construct the following:
- New concrete caisson wet well with 1 in 100-year flood resistant entry
- New pumps and valve pit
- New switchboard and telemetry system on a 1 in 100-year flood resistant platform
- Conversion of the existing pump station to be used as emergency storage
- Connection to existing gravity system and rising main
Provision of an auto-starting generator with 1 in 100-year flood resistant platform
It is Council’s objective that this pump station upgrade will be delivered by the end of May 2022 and will provide a high level of reliability and meet growing sewage demands of the upstream catchment. The upgraded pump station must also be in accordance with all relevant standards, statutory body requirements and approvals. The proposed sewer pump station is to be designed in accordance with The Sewage Pumping Station Code of Australia Version 2.1 (WSA 04-2005) and associated standard drawings.
The pump station should also be in conformance with the ERA63 Pump Station Code of Compliance requirements and issued AS4300 contract conditions.
