Background:
In order to improve operational management practices, and as required by the Qld Government's Waste Levy legislation, Council will install New Weighbridges, gatehouses, and associated infrastructure at the nominated waste facility sites and undertake an agreed program for the repair and maintenance of this infrastructure and calibration of installed telemetry for New Weighbridge installations and Existing Weighbridge installations in accordance with prevailing legislation.
Therefore, the Councils objectives are to:
• Procure the best value for money contractor to undertake the scope of works,
• enable New Weighbridge installation as expediently as possible,
• have in place an agreed repair, maintenance and calibration regime for New Weighbridges and Existing Weighbridges,
• ensure all legislative requirements have been complied with.
