Background:
Western Downs Regional Council (Council) provides its non-operational staff with an annual Uniform allowance to expend on corporate uniforms. Currently, this allowance may be used at several corporate uniform partners that are contracted with Council to provide this supply.
Staff are situated across the Western Downs region, primarily at its main centres of Dalby, Chinchilla, Tara and Miles, and several other smaller centres.
The style of uniform provided is corporate or business wear which complies with the standards set in Council's Uniform Guidelines - Non-Operational, and must be embroidered with endorsed, standardised Council logos.
In providing the allowance, Council's objectives have been to ensure a consistent supply of corporate uniform as a component of Council's employee value proposition, streamline the uniforms provision process to reduce Council administrative load and provide an easy experience for employees ordering uniform.
Council intends to approach the market with this Request For Tender (RFT) to again achieve its existing objectives and ideally improve their delivery.
