Request for Quotation - Crane and Lifting Equipment Renewals
Council is seeking request for quotations from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to provide pricing for the renewal/replacement of Council cranes and lifting systems across its Water and Wastewater assets.
The contractor is tasked with providing pricing for the rectification/make good of all the existing davit and cranage systems across the Council's water and wastewater area. This may involve a detailed inspection of each sewerage and water pumping station within the network and the potential lifting requirements onsite.
If the consultant identifies an alternative to the “make good” strategy such as the supply of a new crane or system to perform the same tasks, then this is also welcomed.
The consultant is also to provide pricing for a Hiab/hoist to be transported via vehicle for the sites that are suitable as outlined in the report. Pricing will also need to be provided for a structural engineer to ensure the site is sound for vehicle access lifting purposes.
The primary goal is providing pricing for a mixed approach for the future lifting arrangements. A vehicle with a Hiab/hoist will be utilised for the appropriate sites and the make good strategy of the existing will need to take place unless new craneage is a more cost- effective solution.
The vehicle specific solution is not required for pricing by the contractor. If the contractor believes there is benefit or a suitable solution for the onsite cranage on every site to replace the vehicle crane, Council will accept this for review and potential implementation.
The pricing from contractors should:
Itemized cost per asset
Lump sum for completing full scope of works
Specification of renewal or replacement
Timeframe for completing works with contractors proposed methodology
Experience in this type of work
Council attaches a list of the sites that will require pricing as well as the audit/inspection report with further detail on the Sewerage Pumping Stations.
