Read-Cycle: Expression of Interest
Georges River Libraries is proud to launch Read-Cycle—a new sustainability initiative that redistributes pre-loved library resources to local community organisations who can give them a second chapter.
We are inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible community service organisations, government services, and registered not-for-profits that deliver services in education, health and wellbeing, multicultural and refugee support, youth services, charities, care institutions and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
A wide range of resources are available, from children’s books, to Youth to Adult Fiction and Non-Fiction and books in Chinese and Greek, which can be provided by the library free of charge to eligible community services.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be a non-profit, government, or community service organisation serving the Georges River community in a non-commercial capacity. Eligible applicants with provide services in the following sectors:
• Education
• Health and welfare
• Multicultural services
• Youth services
• Refugee support
• Low-income support
• Care institutions
• Charities
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations
Applications will be assessed based on organisation type and community need, intended use of the resources, and available stock. All organisations that meet this eligibility are welcome to apply, with preference given to local organisations serving in the Georges River community.
