Lithgow Stormwater Quality Improvement Device Audit
DetailsLithgow City Council requires the services of suitably qualified and experienced Consultants to undertake detailed inspections of Council’s stormwater network to determine the location of bioretention basins and the location of any Gross Pollutant Traps (GPTs) installed within the network. This project also includes the requirement for any GPTs discovered to be inspected and attribute data collected, to further develop individual maintenance regimes for each GPT, and finally develop a costed and prioritised scope of works to improve condition and / or performance of the GPTs.
Council requires the project to be completed no later than 30 March 2026
The required scope of works expected of the Consultant is to:
• Carry out physical inspections to collect attribute data, photos/videos and assess condition and performance of each of the GPTs in the Lithgow City Council and Sydney Drinking Catchment area (as specified);
• Cleaning may be required to obtain dimensions, however any required cleaning of a GPT must only be done at the end after all the other information has been collected;
• Traffic management as required;
• Where recommendations are made of replacement / upgrade or design criteria for GPTs, include where available any example drawings or specific model drawings along with any relevant product specifications;
• Provide justification (keeping in mind that improving water quality is at the forefront) and references (where available) to each recommended design criteria for GPTs;
• Include make and model number for any GPT upgrade / replacement recommendations;
• Provide all reports / documents in PDF format accompanied with Excel copies of any cost estimating;
• Provide an in person presentation to Council staff on findings / training opportunities for staff to improve asset knowledge on maintenance and operation of basin and GPTs.
Exclusions from this project are:
• Any desktop water quantity or quality modelling (i.e. Music, etc.).
