Showcase your talent in new art exhibition for artists with disability
Georges River Council is inviting local artists with disability to join “Georges River Reframed: International Day of People with Disability Art Exhibition.”
This exhibition will celebrate the artistic talent of local people with disability. Council is committed to creating inclusive opportunities for community members of diverse abilities.
The exhibition will launch on 3 December 2025. This date has been selected to coincide with the International Day of People with Disability.
Selected artworks will be displayed in the Clive James Library, Kogarah Gallery Space. One selected artwork will appear in Council’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2026 - 2030. The artist whose work is selected will receive $2,000 for use of their work.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, “This exhibition is a chance for artists with disability to show their talent and share their stories.
“We are proud to support a project that celebrates inclusion, creativity and community. I encourage local artists to apply and be part of something special.”
To apply, artists need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). Artists may submit more than one existing or newly created artworks.
