2025.347 - Sesqui Centenary and Limeburners Bridge Repairs
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council (PMHC) invites tenders for Sesqui Centenary and Limeburners Bridge Repairs.
The purpose of this project is to complete rehabilitation works on two existing Council bridges:
• Limeburners Creek Bridge
• Sesqui Centenary Bridge
Limeburners Creek Bridge Scope
This project scope consists of repairs to the concrete piers. The intention is to patch repair spalled areas, install anodes and augment the steel reinforcement that has undergone a reduction in cross sectional area. Anti carbonation coating will also be applied to the blade walls, abutments and headstocks.
Sesqui Centenary Scope
The project scope consists of repairs to the concrete pier (Pier 1) through the installation of pile jackets to improve the structural integrity of the bridge.
Should the budget allow, the intention is to patch repair spalled areas, install anodes and augment the steel reinforcement that has undergone a reduction in cross sectional area. Anti carbonation coating will also be applied to the abutment headstock. This work will be treated as an “Option” within the contract to be actioned at the sole discretion of the Principal.
Both sites will require Environmental Approvals to be completed by the appointed Contractor.
The Detailed Design has been completed previously. Therefore, this is primarily an engagement seeking an appropriate construction Contractor.
