Café on Curtis – a unique business opportunity
Armidale Regional Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced food and beverage operators for a unique opportunity at Café on Curtis, a newly constructed container café to be located on the south-western fringe of Armidale’s beautiful Curtis Park.
Strategically positioned within the recently upgraded children’s playground, the café is a key feature of the Curtis Park expansion, a council-driven project designed to enhance facilities and amenities for the Armidale community.
The container café offers:
• insulated metal construction, painted in stylish Monumental Grey
• power, water, wastewater and grease trap connections
• approximately 14m² internal fit-out with functional design
• two sliding glass windows with shuttered awnings
• non-slip flooring and air-conditioning
With ample parking on Faulkner Street, operators can take advantage of the morning coffee rush, playground visitors throughout the day, and strong weekend trade from sun-up to sun-down.
“Curtis Park has become one of Armidale’s most popular recreation areas for families,” said Mayor Sam Coupland. “The recent upgrades have transformed it into a vibrant space where people of all ages can relax, play, and connect.
“The Café on Curtis is a fantastic opportunity for a local operator to be part of this exciting precinct. With its prime location and modern design, it’s perfectly positioned to serve the growing number of visitors enjoying the park every day.”
