2009903 - 1 X HR Mobile Library
Richmond Valley Council is seeking to replace the existing Mobile Library operated by the Richmond Upper Clarence Regional Library.
The scope of works includes replacement of the entire vehicle inc:
• The truck cab/chassis
• The library body fitted to the cab/chassis
• Internal fitout including shelving, desk, stairs, handicap entry system, kitchen and toilet, etc
• Air Conditioning system
• Solar installation and batteries
• Onboard generator system capable of running the IT, Lighting and 240V Air Cond System
The current configuration of the mobile library is rigid LWB truck with a 6x2 drive line, automatic transmission and diesel engine producing approximately 215Kw and 900 Nm of torque.
Dependent on budget implications RVC would also consider options including:
• 6X4 Drive Line
• Slide out pod to increase operational area of the library.
Some of this project is funded by two separate grants - One is specifically for the solar/battery system - as such RVC would prefer separated pricing for this part of the project including the solar panels, inverter, DC-DC Charger, associated cabling, protection, and installation works.
If possible the solar system may reduce the requirements for the onboard generator system but this is to be calculated by the supplier with advice on the practicalities and risks of relying the solar/battery Vs a reliable generator of suitable capacity.
