Western Downs Regional Council (Council) is undertaking an upgrade of Thomas Jack Park in Dalby to enhance community amenities and recreational facilities. This project is part of Council’s commitment to providing high-quality public spaces that promote outdoor activity, social engagement, and community well-being.
Council is undertaking a two-phase procurement approach. In the initial phase, contractors are requested to submit pricing based on preliminary design documentation. WDRC will then select 2 or more contractors to be engaged for an ECI process.
Council will directly procure several key items, including the major play piece, waterplay area, play equipment, shelters, chairs, and an amenities block. While Council is handling some procurement, the successful Principal contractor will be responsible for overseeing installation and ensuring seamless integration with the broader park renewal.
The objective of this procurement is to engage a suitably qualified Principal contractor to deliver a high quality, durable, and safe public space that aligns with Council’s vision for Thomas Jack Park.
Council has procured multiple items that vary in installation and Coordination requirements from the
contractor, which has been identified in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
