RFP000032 - Redland City Council Cleaning Services
The Facilities Services Unit within Redland City Council is responsible for ensuring delivery of cleaning services to council owned assets. This Request For Proposal is aiming to establish a long-term strategic Supplier relationship with suitably qualified and capable Supplier/s to undertake cleaning services for Redland City Council Assets. The type of assets that cleaning services include:
o Libraries
o Indigiscapes
o Streetscapes
o Redlands Performing Arts Centre
o Community halls
o Public toilets / amenities
o BBQs
o Bin Enclosures
o Gazebos
o Bus shelters
o Marine infrastructure, including boat ramps, jetties, pontoons, walkways, and ferry terminals
The comprehensive lists of assets that are included within the scope are provided in appendices and supporting documents as part of the RFP package. Supporting documents also include detailed cleaning specifications (i.e., Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)) for each asset type, with performance standards defined for each asset (in SOP), and the frequency of cleaning for each individual asset, grouped by category.
Redland City Council has a strong preference to engage with a single qualified and capable Supplier for delivery of all cleaning requirements across all asset categories, however we recognise certain constraints may exist in the market that challenges this objective. Accordingly, Suppliers are provided the option to submit an offer for all 3 cleaning service categories or a single category. We open to innovative delivery models that include wholly delivered, principal contractor with subcontractors or other models that achieve the desired objectives. The 3 cleaning service categories for this RFP include:
o Category 1: Buildings and Facilities (community halls, corporate buildings, council buildings, SES buildings, aquatics centre, wastewater treatment plant offices, Redland Performing Arts Centre, Redland Visitor Information Centre)
o Category 2: Public Realm (BBQs, bin enclosures, bus shelters, gazebos, streetscapes, public amenities)
o Category 3: Marine Infrastructure (jetties, boat ramps, gangways, ferry terminals, pontoons)
