Redland City Mayor's Christmas Appeal Charity Partner - Expression of Interest
Redlands Coast community groups and charitable organisations are invited to submit an expression of interest to become a charity partner for the Redland City Mayor's Christmas Appeal 2025 (Mayor's Christmas Appeal 2025).
The Mayor’s Christmas Appeal 2025 is seeking up to two (2) community-focused charity partners to help deliver meaningful support to those in need this festive season.
As an official charity partner, your organisation will receive prominent recognition throughout the appeal campaign, including media coverage, in Council communications and at community events such as the Redlands Coast Lighting of the Christmas Tree. In return, we ask that your organisation establishes a transparent online donation platform for receiving public funds. This platform should be visible to both the community and Council, with regular updates provided on the funds raised.
Your organisation's donation platform should:
• have the ability to set up a dedicated online donation page specifically for the Mayor's Christmas Appeal 2025
• be able to issue tax-deductible receipts to donors upon request
• display the total funds raised, including donor names and contribution amounts, unless a donor chooses to remain anonymous.
Charity partners must ensure that 100 per cent of the funds raised through the Mayor's Christmas Appeal 2025 are directed exclusively to projects or programs that benefit residents of Redlands Coast, with a particular emphasis on supporting those impacted by domestic and family violence, homelessness, and other forms of hardship.
Eligibility
To be considered, all applicants must:
• Be based within Redlands Coast or south-east Queensland, with all activities or programs benefiting Redlands Coast residents
• Be a registered charity capable of issuing tax deductible receipts and able to provide documentation confirming this status
• Hold current Public Liability Insurance with a minimum coverage of $20 million and supply a valid certificate.
