2025062 - Construction of Stormwater Drainage - Morphett Road, Seacombe Heights (COM057666)
The works consist of the excavation, pipe laying, backfill and pavement reinstatement of stormwater drainage commencing in the roundabout at the Seacombe Road - Morphett Road intersection, then proceeding south along Morphett Road, into Tarnham Road and Galway Avenue. Traffic management is of major importance. Some deep trenching is required.
The works are in two stages: Stage 1 includes removal of existing drainage pipes and pits. Stage 2 is new drainage, no existing underground drainage is present.
The pipes and pits have been purchased by City of Marion and can be collected by the Contractor at Council's depot.
Seacombe Road is a DIT owned road, traffic management and trench/pavement reinstatement to DIT requirements.
Morphett Road south of Seacombe, as well as Tarnham and Galway are Council owned roads.
The works on site are to commence in mid-January 2026 and be completed before end April 2026.
