Port Augusta City Council invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of Port Augusta Coastal Hazard Adaptation Plan, Stages 1, 2 and 3.
The Tenderer shall provide the Services in accordance with the Specifications.
Port Augusta City Council has formed a Steering Committee to manage the project and oversee the work of consultants.
Council is now looking for a suitable consultancy team with a proven capacity in coastal hazard adaptation planning, and the relevant expertise, to undertake the research, and engagement, required to complete the first three stages of the CHAP process.
Spencer Gulf is divided into the Upper, Middle and Southern basins. Port Augusta is situated within the Upper Spencer Gulf Basin which is 62km in length, has a mean width of 7km, a mean depth of 8m, and a surface area of 430 square km, Port Augusta has a coastline of 122kms encompassing a substantial portion of the Upper Spencer Gulf Region which extends almost down to level with Whyalla on the Western side of Spencer Gulf and just south of Miranda on the eastern side.
The project focuses on that part of the Upper Spencer Gulf Basin within the Port Augusta City Council Area extending to Blanche Harbour on the Western side, Miranda on the Eastern side, and the top of the gulf at the Northern end.
The Council will enter into an Agreement for Services with the successful Tenderer.
