Alexandrina Council invites Tenders from Leisure Management Organisations for the provision of services to manage the Fleurieu Aquatic Centre on behalf of both Alexandrina Council and City of Victor Harbour, located at 4 Ocean Road, Chiton, SA 5211.
The Aquatic Centre is a joint initiative of the City of Victor Harbor and Alexandrina Council (the Councils). Since opening its doors in 2017, the Aquatic Centre has become a significant hub for health, wellbeing, and connection, serving as a vital resource for the community.
Originally governed by a jointly owned Council subsidiary (established under Section 43 of the Local Government Act SA). To simplify the governance structure the Aquatic Centre entered a new chapter in August 2024 with the formal Subsidiary governance model being replaced by the formation of a Joint Venture and associated Advisory Committee, between both Councils (Section 46 of the Local Government Act SA). Currently, Alexandrina Council is the host of the Joint Venture.
The Councils are seeking a suitably qualified leisure management company to manage and operate the Aquatic Centre for the next ten years.
