Call for Expressions of Interest: Arts Advisory Committee
The Arts Advisory Committee plays a vital role in supporting and advocating for arts and culture in our region. Members help process applications and make recommendations to Council for the Arts and Culture Grants Program, identify opportunities to enrich our community through public and community art, and engage with both the community and Elected Members to drive creative initiatives.
Council is inviting members of the community to join this dynamic and passionate group. We are looking for individuals who may have some or all of the following attributes:
• A passion for the arts and our community
• A belief that artistic and creative endeavour can enhance quality of life
• Involvement as a local creative or in local creative projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Project management experience
• Experience in writing grants and applications
We are also seeking expressions of interest from individuals who may not wish to join the committee but would like to be involved in collaborative arts projects. This includes planning for the 2026 SALA Exhibition, which will involve working together to develop processes for a successful and sustainable event.
