Baldivis Sports Complex Final Stages
The City of Rockingham has officially unveiled the Southern Pavilion, outdoor hardcourts, and expansive recreation space at the Baldivis Sports Complex, marking the completion of its largest-ever community infrastructure project.
The ceremony held on Wednesday 17 December celebrated a transformative milestone for Baldivis.
With an estimated $45 million investment, including $9 million dedicated to this final stage, the project delivers on the aspirations outlined in the City’s Strategic Community Plan – to create a vibrant, family-friendly hub where people can connect, play, and thrive.
City of Rockingham Mayor Lorna Buchan said the completion of the project reflects the City’s vision for a quality lifestyle and strong community connections.
“Completion of this project marks a proud moment for our City. The Baldivis Sports Complex is now a fully realised district-level facility that will serve our growing community for generations to come,” Mayor Buchan said.
It is also a clear example of how we are delivering on our community’s aspirations and overall vision of creating a quality lifestyle for our residents.
Completion of the Baldivis Sports Complex represents a landmark achievement for Baldivis and the broader Rockingham community. This generational project has been more than 15 years in the making, driven by the vision and commitment of past and present Council Members and staff.
The final stage adds exciting new features to the facility, including:
Southern Pavilion with storage, social space, kiosk, and amenities
Eight outdoor netball hardcourts (multi-marked for basketball)
Eight tennis courts, with Baldivis Tennis Club planning to relocate in 2026/27
An outdoor recreation space featuring a skate park, nature play, adventure/water and sensory play areas, and an obstacle course.
Expressions of interest are now open for sporting and community groups to activate these spaces.
The final stages of the project were funded by the City of Rockingham, with a generous $1 million contribution from Lotterywest towards the Baldivis Outdoor Recreation Space.
